Photo calendar, 2021
This year, I decided to start what I hope will be an annual tradition: a photo calendar sent to friends and family. If you did not receive one, please don't be offended: I kept the list fairly short because of the cost of printing and shipping. However, let me know if you'd like one, and I'll gladly have one printed for you.
In the meantime, I figured I'd share the photos here.
2020 in the Shenandoah Valley
The theme this year, if you can call it that, was a picture from each month of the year. January's photo was taken in January 2020, and so on. I further narrowed it down by only choosing pictures taken near our home in the Shenandoah Valley, which wasn't hard since we didn't travel much this year. I can't imagine why.
January
Taken on January 8th in the Cooks Creek Arboretum. The only notable snowfall we got last winter, but it sure was pretty.
February
Taken on February 22nd in the Cooks Creek Arboretum.
March
Taken on March 19th outside my office at James Madison University. This was just before I started working from home due to the pandemic.
April
Taken on April 2nd in the Cooks Creek Arboretum.
May
Taken on May 9th in the Cooks Creek Arboretum.
June
Taken on June 7th from the parking lot at the High Knob trailhead. We felt like going for a drive one night and decided to take US 33 to the West Virginia state line.
July
Taken on July 8th on our back porch. This is a flower Sarah grew from a seed.
August
Taken on August 15th on our back porch. Sarah named this one "Social Distancing".
September
Taken on September 5th from our back porch, this is Mars and the Moon.
October
Taken on October 28th in the Cooks Creek Arboretum.
November
Taken on November 24th from the Storybook Trail.
December
Taken on December 1st from our backyard. This is a neighboring farm that drapes lights on their silo in December.
Happy New Year!
