Season's greetings, 2024
While Sarah didn't have a specific card made up for Christmas this year, she did include a picture with cards she sent out to some friends and family that I'm including below. Aside from one recent bit of news that I'll get to, I think I've covered the major life events of this year in my blog.
2024: joy and sadness
This was a hard year, with both tremendous sadness and great joy. We said goodbye to our Ginny. I left a job I loved for a job I love even more. We got COVID in July/August and missed a trip to Portland. We went on other trips and spent time with family and friends. Sarah had a truly exhausting fall semester.
We got a new dog.
Meet Miss America, a young and energetic dog whose hound parts remind us so much of our beloved Ginny. We fostered her at first, giving her a much-needed break from the shelter, and she quickly became a part of our home. Others could see it before I did. I want to give special mention to a documentary that helped soften my heart to having another dog: By My Side.
Merry Christmas!
