(No) photo calendar, 2025
In part because I wasn't buying holiday-connected gifts this year and in part because it was just hard, I didn't end up putting together a photo calendar. To my fans: I'm sorry.
Here's a short post to give some context.
Ginny's year
When we said goodbye to Ginny in April, Sarah and I had the idea to make this year's calendar full of pictures of Ginny from the years we had with her. I knew right away which picture I'd use for December, but beyond that it was going to take some time to go through all our photos and pick ones for each of the other eleven months.
This proved difficult. In my typical style, I procrastinated and put it off. November came and went. December arrived, and I knew I'd need to get the calendar sorted in the first couple weeks.
It's been a heavy year. It seemed acceptable to skip the calendar.
December
I always liked how this picture turned out. It's a photo of an ornament with a picture of Ginny that has also graced Christmas pajama sweatshirts and other places in our home. Nearby is a little stocking with her name on it. This was always going to be the December picture.
